In March 27th the fog cleared to a crisp early spring morning along the Salsipuedes Creek Levee. As part of the monthly cleanup effort, the City of Watsonville, Supervisor Hernandez office, Speaker Robert Rivas’ office, Santa Cruz County Sheriffs, Pitch In of Santa Cruz County and volunteers joined to clean up Salsipuedes Creek Levee. The grass is high and litter was difficult to see, but there was plenty of it. Snakes, lizards, a multitude of birds were spotted and there are fish in the fast moving creek. This is an important community resource for recreation and exercise. Let’s keep it clean.
